宏樹君とお母さん
７年前の夏誕生した宏樹君は、去年から小学校に行くはずだったが、脳性小児マヒということで学校へも行けず家で小さな弟と遊んでいる。５才頃までは立ち上がることも、アルクこともできなかったが、いまでは物につかまって起きあがり部屋はもちろん、暖かい日は不安定ながら軽い靴をはいて戸外で遊んでいる。
Hiroki-kun was born in the summer 7 years ago. He was supposed to go to an elementary school from last year. He could not go to school and playing with younger brother at the house. He has cerebral palsy. He could not stand up, nor walk until around 5 years old. Now he can stand up if he hold something. He goes not only inside the room, but aslo playing outside in the warm sunshine, though unstable, wearing the light shoes.
お母さんの話では３才頃までは変わった様子はなく、それとなく気づいて北大病院、札幌医大病院の診断の結果、この病気だと始めて知らされたときは目の前が真暗になり、一時はお母さん自身この世に生きていることさえ無意味に思われ、暗い毎日を過ごしたものだった。
The mother say up to 3 years old, there was nothing special. She noticed some abnormality and visited Hokkaido University Hospital, Sapporo Medical College. Whe she was informed of the disease by the hospitals, her eyes got dark. The mother lost the meaning of life herself and spent dark everyday.
しかし宏樹君のお母さんはいつまでも悲しんではいなかった。いまは宏樹君のため将来の計画を立てている。まず貯蓄すること、脳手術のため東京で診てもらうこと、整肢学院のような施設に入れてもらうこと、などである。「ジェット機一台分でよい施設がたくさんできるでしょうに、ソ連の小児マヒ薬ガランタミンも申し込んであるのですが・・・・・」
But the mother of Hiroki-kun did not worry too much. Now, she made the plan for his future. First to save money. Visit doctors in Tokyo for brain surgery. Let him enter into some kind of facility like rehabilitation center etc. She says, "If the government give up to buy one jet plane, it can built many good facilities. I have applied the Garantamin medicine from the Soviet Union for infantile paralysis.............."
　肢体不自由児を持つお母さんの当然の願いであり、意見ではなかろうか。宏樹君は１年生の本も読むし会話もしっかりしている。ただ手足が自由に動かないのだ。いつの日か宏樹君のため１日も早くこの旭川にも施設ができて気軽にはいれ、職能訓練までうけ立派な社会人として起ち上がってゆける日の近いことを祈ってやまない。
It is the natural desire of the mother who have the children orthopedically impaired. It is a natural opinion., isn't it? Hiroki-kun can read the text book for 1st grade elementary school. The only problem is that he cannot move his arms and legs smoothly. Someday, the facility is built in Asahikawa and can enter it without worry, I hope it. If he can take the vocational course and can work as a good adult. I pray so.
