２．働く沢崎さん 2. Mr. Sawasaki working
かって小児マヒにかかり,その後遺症のため身体障害者として苦闘をつづけ,その甲斐あっていまは1男2女のよき父として,ある営林署の現場で働き臨時工だが優れた手腕をかわれ,また身体障害者の就職そくしんのためにも,近く常用工に昇格するという沢崎さんを紹介する。
I would like to introduce Mr. Sawasaki, who was contracted with infantile paralysis. He have been experiencing hardship because of the hang over as a handicapped. His effort was rewarded as the father of one son and two daughters. He is employed in a forest center, though temporary. His skill is admitted superior. And also, he is going to be upgraded soon as the permanent worker.
わたしは思う,いま北海道には,いや日本全国には沢崎さんのように,またそれ以上の重症身体障害者が沢山おり,今後も小児マヒ後遺症としてその範ちゅうにはいる人々が続出しようとしているということを。
これら多くの人々は沢崎さんと同じように立派な社会人として起ち上るよう最大の努力をしてもらわなければならぬし,またその努力が報いられるような社会環境が1日も早くつくりだされることをねがってやまたい。
I believe that the handicapped people as mr. Sawasaki or severer ones will
increase soon in Hokkaido and even in whole Japan. They have to make greatest
effort as social people as Mr. Sawasaki. I pray that the environment to
reward them will come true as early as possible.
